Last week I had the opportunity to help celebrate the 70th birthday of The Little Theatre Cinema in Bath. And not only did they have a wonderful champagne reception in Bath Fine Art gallery they had 2 stars of the screen to also kick off their Love The Little campaign. Virginia McKenna and Leslie Phillips, who stared in The Smallest Show on Earth which the cinema screened on the night, mixed with the guests and answered questions from a packed screen after the show. As well as celebrating the 70th birthday of the much loved Bath iconic cinema Virginia and Leslie were on hand to help promote the Love The Little campaign which officially (and appropriately) started last night (Feb 14th) with a screening of Cinema Paradiso. The Little is in need of modernisation and this initiative will bring the funds for improvements such as a bar and air-conditioning, all the details along with other special events they have planned and how everybody can help can be found at www.lovethelitlle.com. All the pictures from the birthday celebrations can be viewed on the View Your Photos page and entering the album password "LT70". Good luck to Martin and all the crew at The Little for improving what is already a gem in Baths social scene.
